Charles asks…

What is there to do for teenagers in Cancun, Mexico?

I’m going there for spring break and I’m 14.. so i dont know what there is for me.. other than beach and restaurants in the day.

Tijuana answers:

I am also traveling to Cancun this Spring Break with my 13 and 14 year old boys. This will be the 6th time they have gone to Mexico with me. You will have lots to do, but your resort can have a lot to do with how much fun you have. First, askjeeves to give you some websites of resorts with great activites for teenagers. If you have already booked your resort, find their official website and see what all they offer. My boys last stayed at the Crown Paradise Club which I would highly recommend if you haven’t picked a resort. Some of the things they offered were a great pool and view of the ocean, great restaurants. I rode the electric bull at the Western restaurant, they have a club just for teenagers, 18 hole miniature golf, a basketball court, you can paint a piece of art by the pool, water aerobics everyday that was more of an entertainment show than a workout but very fun, a themed party by the pool each evening. They had employees that would take young children around the Hotel doing activities such as the waterpark designed just for children under age 13. There is food 24/7 available inside and poolside. (All-inclusive is most definately the way to go!) Even walking down the stairs to the beach you will find more activities going on there. The rooms are nice, arcade, and you are just a few miles from the malls. If you need to know anything else just email and I’ll be happy to assist with more info! Have a great vacation!!!

Sandra asks…

What month is the best to go to Cancun, Mexico?

My friends and I were thinking about taking a trip to Mexico and narrowed it down to Cancun, Cozomel, or Cabo San Lucas. I would like to know what spot is the best overall. We’re young so we’re going to want to party and I heard Cancun is the spot to be but we’re open to the other two as well. I just have a few questions; Which location is generally the cheapest? (airfare, resort, drinks, shopping) Which location has more night life/party scene? Which one is the safest? & when would be the best time to go? Prices of things and websites would help! Thank you! 🙂

Tijuana answers:

I would recommend going to Cancun, especially if you are going to party. Cancun is pretty much known for party-goers, but it also is good for relaxing and family-vacations. Cancun has many many clubs, including Senor Frogs, which is a really fun place, even if you are not parting. The employees there make you laugh, especially when they get up and sing karaoke and dance.
And, if you go to Cancun, you can always take a boat over to Cozumel for around $15. It is about a 45 minute boat ride.
Anyway, depending on the date you go will determine the prices. I know that Cabo San Lucas is pretty pricey. For Cancun, you can find cheap resorts. I would suggest going all inclusive, that way the airfare is included, and you can eat for free at the hotel/resort. The last time I went to Cancun (two years ago), we got a really good (4 star) all inclusive resort for $850 a person.

As for when would be the best time to go? Well, that depends on you. If you live in an area where winters are cold, it would be nice to go in the winter, as a way to escape the cold. If you are looking to go during a time when there will be lots of parting, go during Spring Break (April/March). If you want to go when you are more likely to get hotels for cheaper, going during the off seasons, like the late spring or summer.

I would suggest looking on expedia and travelocity. In my experience, Travelocity has always been the cheapest.
Also, check prices at least once a week. I have noticed that the prices change weekly, so when you find a good price, don’t wait, book it!

Lizzie asks…

What are some Spring Break ideas for four 17 years olds?

Just would like to hear some other opinions and ideas. Thanks!

Tijuana answers:

Mexico! has reasonable prices (hotel and airfare) make sure it is all-inclusive, which means included in your price is all food, drinks etc. The legal drinking age is 18 in Mexico but they really dont care and they dont card, especially at an all-inclusive resort.
