All Inclusive Resorts In Mexico Playa Del Carmen

David asks…

anyone know a good all inclusive resort in mexico?

thinking about taking a trip for our first anniversary went to jamaica on honeymoon and loved it but want to try some where different

Tijuana answers:

I just stayed in the Catalina Riviera Maya resort outside of Playa Del Carmen last June. The resort was wonderful! It had a great beach, 6 restaurants, 2 swim up bars, and 4 pools. They also offered lots of activities during the day.
I booked through Apple Vacations and they made everything soo easy. They have representatives for you at the airports so they can make sure you get to the right place.

William asks…

all inclusive resorts?

does anyone have any first hand knowlage of any big all inclusive resorts with huge pools, has to be children friendly as i will be traveling with spouse and three children, been to mexico and cuba but still open to offers there

Tijuana answers:

I would defnitely recommend the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico. It is about 30 minutes south of Cancun and 30 minutes North of Playa Del Carmen. Google the name and you can see what the resort offers. It is so large that they have a trolley that comes through every 15 minutes and drops you off at your destination.

The pool is one of the largest in that area if not the largest. It winds through allot of the resort, has a waterfall, jacuzzi, activity section, and relaxing parts of the pool.

For children, it has a “lucy’s kids club” where they do activities and it is included in your price. Most people just leave a tip because the ladies are incredible with children.

They also have several activities throughout the day from pingpong turnaments, volleyball tournaments, archery, and several other. The stars friends employees do several fun games with the guests throughout the day.

The food is also phenominal with several restaurants to choose from and the general buffet. The rooms have refrigerators with drinks stocked daily and don’t charge extra.

At night, there is entertainment. Every night that have something different. They start with a kids program where all the children can participate and meet other children. Then, they do an adult participation and then the main performance for the evening. All of their shows were great.

If you choose this resort, you won’t be disappointed. I went their 2 years ago for 10 days. Last year I went for 2 weeks and got married at the resort. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Also, it is close by to all the major excursions that you may be interested in.

John asks… looking for an all inclusive resort on the beach in puerto vallarta, cancun, or cozumel….?

i would like to go to a resort that has direct access to the beach. i have never been to mexico. also, im not trying to break the bank so im looking for the most reasonable all inclusive package. i dont want to sacrifice for a bad resort though, im willing to shell out a bit more for a better resort. maybe 3 or 4 nights for me and my boyfriend. thanks

Tijuana answers:

I went to Mexico last spring and found that it was less expensive to go to Playa del Carmen (Riviera Maya) instead of Cancun or Cozumel. There are many resorts that are right on the Caribbean. We stayed at one of the Playacar resorts. Most of the people we met said there resorts were great though.

I think that 3 or 4 days would be too short though. You end up spending most of a day each way with the flight there, customs, getting to your resort, and settling in. That would only leave a day or two for relaxation. Personally, I thought a week was too short.
