I would recommend you stay somewhere on the eastern side of Mexico. In the areas of either Cancún, Cozumel, or Playa Del Carmen/Riviera Maya. The ocean is more gorgeous on the eastern side compared to the western side of Mexico and the Caribbean is also warmer than the Pacific side. Any of those places have beautiful white sand beaches and gorgeous turquoise blue waters. It’s hard to say what place is best for you because I’m not sure what your interests are. Cancún is fun if you are the type that likes to go out and night and party and have a great time. Cancún is world famous for it’s wild nightlife. If that isn’t your thing then you may prefer a more laid back tropical experience in the Riviera Maya where you can sit on the beach all day sipping your favorite cocktail and watching turquoise waves come rolling in without a care in the world. I’ll give you a link below to some deals right now for the Riviera Maya. You can look over all the hotels and see if anything catches your eye. If you have any more questions or need to know anything feel free to send me a message and I will help you out further.
Good luck in whatever you choose and enjoy your time!!!

William asks…

Anyone out there ever been to La Playa Carmen or Rivera Mexico?

I want to go to an all inclusive resort in the area listed above and also would like to visit the Xcaret Eco Park, there are so many resorts to choose, can anyone give me any recommendations.

Tijuana answers:

There are many resorts in the Mayan Riviera. I haven’t heard of La Playa Carmen, but there is Playa del Carmen in the Mayan Riviera which has a fun place to visit. There is a tourist spot there that is several blocks long called fifth ave. Great place for shopping, several bars, and restaurants or just a nice place to chill out.

The resorts have tour and excursion desks where you can book Xcaret, and many more activities that may interest you. There are family resorts, adult only resorts, nude resorts, and clothing optional resorts. If you want something close to Xcaret, there is a resort within walking distance called Occidental resort which offers a free pass to the park. This is a family resort, and have heard it to be very good. Http://www.occidentalhotels.com/static/xcaret_experience

If you are looking for an adult only resort, or any of the others I have suggested, google adult resorts Playa del Carmen. Playa also has some of the best beaches.

Oh ya, ignore Ken. He is just one of the trolls that comes on here that has never been to Mexico, and likes to try and scare people away. There are over three million people that visit the Mayan Riviera each year, and is one of the top ten tourist destinations.
