All Inclusive Resorts In Mexico Playa Del Carmen

Charles asks…

Which Mexican All Inclusive should we choose for our wedding?

My fiancee and I are planning to do a destination wedding and get married in Mexico, preferably Cancun or Playa del Carmen, but we’re having a tough time deciding which resort. If you were married there, where did you go, what did you like/ dislike?

Tijuana answers:

I wasn’t married there, but I did stay at the Dreams chain & I have heard that they do a GREAT job on their weddings – you should check them out. The hotels are great & they have several on the Yucatan Peninsula…

David asks…

What can you share about the Yucatan Peninsula?

I love the idea of having access to great beaches, great snorkeling, and ancient ruins, all in one place.

I’d love to go to a nice resort (would prefer allinclusive), but I’d like to avoid being on a resort-strip, so I think Cancun is out.

What cities/areas do you recommend?
What resorts within those areas can you comment on?

All input will be very much appreciated!

Tijuana answers:

The term “Riviera Maya” is a catch-all phrase to include all the towns south of Cancun down to Tulum, including:
Playa del Carmen, Playacar
Puerto Aventuras
Puerto Morelos
Playa del Carmen/Playacar area has the greatest concentration of resorts, but good resorts can be found all along that coast. Click this link to see some good deals there:

Laura asks…

What is a good all inclusive resort in Mexico?

Interested in a nice clean hotel, on the beach, with a pool, access to scuba diving or Snorkeling and great food.

Tijuana answers:

The Iberostar resorts in Riviera Maya are very nice.Very good snorkeling in Puerto Morelos. Check out Snorkel For excursions.
Just hop on a ferry in Playa Del Carmen to Cozumel, top scuba diving in Mexico. Snorkeling too.
Iberostar Paraiso Maya (7 restaurants, 5 pools, shuttles to Playa del Carmen) or Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar( 6 restaurants ) are good choices for resorts.

Enjoy and have fun
