Tijuana answers:

Dear Nuclear Over-Reactor,

There have been no… NO cases of influenza in Ensenada, and only one in the entire peninsula. Both Baja Norte and Baja Sur.

I don’t know where you live, but chances are there are more cases in your area than in Ensenada.

The ships have hand sanitizer available in the food service areas, and the crew is cleaning incessantly. But if you want, you can have a good time just staying onboard.

Everyone SHOULD be excited… THEY will have a good time.

Nancy asks…

what are some fun things i can do at Ensenada, Mexico?

Tijuana answers:

In Ensenada you can shop at the tourist stops for anything under the sun. Then you can drive up north 45 minutes to Rosarito Beach to chill on the beach and horseback ride. Drive a little further north to Puerto Nuevo for extremely tasty and inexpensive lobster (lots of restaurants to choose from) and margaritas. Don’t drink and drive though….

Susan asks…

what are the dates for this years Carnival celebration in Ensenada Mexico?

Tijuana answers:

Basically, Carnival is celebrated about the same time everywhere, with the largest celebrations in Mexico taking place in Veracruz and the Yucatan and Mazatlan – not too certain about any celebration that might be taking place in Ensenada, but can’t imagine it would be as big as the main ones . The dates are 2/14/2007 – 2/21/2007 for Mayan Riviera (I’ll be there form the 11th to the 18th, so I looked into it a bit too.)

Here’s a little webinfo I found:

About Carnival in Mexico

Is celebrated one week before the Lenten season and it lasts for the entire week. It is celebrated throughout the Roman Catholic world, and is most exuberant in Latin America. It is celebrated with costumes, parades, eating and dancing. The most spectacular carnival in Mexico is found in Mazatlan and Veracruz. Actually, Mazatlan boasts of having the third largest carnival in the world (behind Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and New Orleans, Louisiana).

Hope this helps! :)
