George asks…

What would be a good CREATIVE environmental service project idea with a $125 budget?

I am a member of the ONE campaign at my school and I already have come up with two other ideas but both don’t cost anything so I want something very creative that can either get a good job done or get people very aware. Can’t hurt to get peoples opinions.

Tijuana answers:

Make houses for orchard mason bees. Everyone is extremely concerned about the commercial honey bees dying. Yet very few people are aware that we have native bees.

Orchard mason bees live over the entire continental U.S. (from Mexico, all the way up into Canada).

The houses are extremely easy to make. Just drill the proper size holes in firewood rounds, or any untreated wood.

I normaly provide a lot of information about the bees in my answers. However today I’m tired, it’s been a long day on the farm.

So just Google orchard mason bees, and see if they will not fit in with your enviromental service project.

Chris asks…

Where can I buy paint for my 2001 Ford Ranger?

Hey everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this post.

My parents have been kind enough to paint my truck for Christmas. They would like to get the paint in the states and take it to Mexico for the labor. Only problem is after 100’s of Google searches, I’m unable to find a auto paint retailer nearby. We live in the Inland Empire in Southern California. Anyone have any ideas, recommendations, or ideas that could point us in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

Tijuana answers:

Try your yellow pages? Or call any local body shop and ask who there supplier is that they buy from. Make sure you take both paint and the proper paint thinner with you as well to Mexico to ensure a good job. Even your local Ford Dealer can tell you who they buy from? Good Luck and hope your trip is healthy and safe! FELIX NAVIDAD!
