Mexico All Inclusive Resorts

Linda asks…

What is your favorite all inclusive resort in the Cancun area and why?

We are planning a trip for 5 (no kids) to Cancun area in Nov 2007 and I am wondering what your favorite or recommended all inclusive resorts are?
We want great beaches and GREAT pools (love slides, lazy rivers, wave pools). Obviously good food, good restaurant options, good rooms. We saw many rooms had the 2 person jacuzzi and hammocks. They looked neat!
Here are our options:
Le Blanc, Riu Las Americanas, Riu Caribe, Riu Cancun, El Dorado (is that all inclusive?), Crown Paradise, Cozumel Palace, Sun Palace, Iberostar Paraíso Lindo, Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso, or any other Iberostar if we get good reviews (Ib. Paraíso Beach, Ib. Paraíso del Mar, Ib. Paraíso Maya).

Thank you! We have NEVER been to Mexico. It is so hard to choose.
We are not going to party or hang out with drunk kids. Just a relaxing vacation and laying on the beach.

Last November, my wife and I stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Maya in Riviera Maya. All by itself, this resort would meet all your requirements…great beach, GREAT pool with lazy river, wave pool and multiple pool sections, great restaurant choices and of course room hammocks. In addition it is located in a complex of other Iberostar resorts so you have an even wider variety of pools and restaurants to choose from. Staying at the Maya includes more inclusive access to the spa than from the other Iberostar resorts.

Now if you want to step it up one more level and go adults only, then check out the new Iberostar Grand Paraiso which is right next to the Maya (They were still building it while we were there). We booked via Funjet and saved a bit on a package as opposed to buying the air and room separate. The package includes ground transportation from the airport so that helps save a few bucks too.

Note: When I was getting the URL for Funjet I noticed that they have the Iberostar Grand on sale now through July 16th for vacations through the end of the year. Good luck!

Donna asks…

What are some fun ALL-INCLUSIVE resorts for a group of 18 year olds not during spring break ?

My friends and I are trying to plan our senior trip to Mexico in June for a reasonable cost.
What would be some good ALLINCLUSIVE resorts for a group of 18 year old girls ?
We’re looking for fun bars and such at the hotel, not really to leave the resort for the local clubs.

Tijuana answers:

I would go to a travel agent and have them help. Tell them your budget and they can give you several options.

And there are several places you can go: Cancun, Punta Cana, Jamaica, Aruba, etc. That have All Inclusive places

You will also need a Passport to travel to these places so start now to get your passports for travel and save your money for the airfare, hotel, and extra shopping you might want to do.
