Mexico All Inclusive Resorts Reviews

David asks…

What are some of the best young adults all inclusive resorts?

Hello,

I am a 22 year old and a group of friends and I are planning for a trip in June 2013.
We are wanting to go to an all inclusive resort but we want it to mainly have a young atmosphere with young people (not families really or older folks) we like to party and stay up late.

We would like to go to Mexico, but again, I cant find which resorts are best for that young fun experience. But temptations seem like a good choice, we would actually prefer something else. Heard its a swingers resort from most reviews

So a name of the resort would be very helpful. Please simply stating a state or country is not what I am looking for.

Thanks

Honestly, your best bet is to just get a vacation rental. In college my friends and I would get hotel rooms and we would stay at nice resorts all over Florida (we were hospitality students and we worked with Hyatt, Hilton etc and got all kinds of discounts) and while it was really great, the best thing we did was after college when we started getting vacation rentals.

Last year we got a 5 story penthouse in Clearwater Beach called Park Place. It’s right across the street from the beach, there are loads of restaurants and shops nearby… The house had everything we needed. We had several bedrooms, a deck on top with a hot tub and barbecue and in the garage the owners left us everything we could possibly need (bikes, beach chairs, everything). Easily the best vacation we ever put together.

The vacation rental was the better choice because then we could get drunk all day and be as loud as we wanted. If you’re at a resort you have more limitations. It cost about 1700 for five people, which is still cheaper than most all-inclusive resorts

Or, perhaps you could book a cruise. Though I can’t blame you if the Carnival Triumph disaster drove you away, trust me, cruises are really great and you can get some good deals.

What are the best All-Inclusive Resorts in Cancun, Mexico for Nightlife?

We are a fun couple in our late 30s and have heard that some allinclusive Cancun resorts have little to no nightlife. We want nightlife at the allinclusive Cancun resort (music, dancing, etc.).
Preferably in the Cancun hotel zone. We are traveling for 4 or 5 nights in early December 2013.
Thanks.

I don’t know just how much nightlife you’re looking for. My guess is something nice, but not wild and crazy. AMresorts has some nice properties in the Riviera Maya area, which is about 30 minutes south of the Cancun airport. You might want to have a look at the Now Jade Riviera. It’s located near Peurto Morales. They have bands playing in the lobby at night, they have a disco, they have evening shows (geared towards families) both in their theater, and sometimes outside in the main plaza. They have firedancers on certain nights. They have an adults only/ quiet pool for relaxation, as well as another pool located on the other side of the resort for families and activities. This resort also has palipas on the beach. No wristbands required, and you don’t have to make advanced dinner reservations. Some of their restaurants are pretty classy and have a dress code.

If you do a search on Youtube, you’ll find all sorts of videos for that resort. (And other resorts as well) Check them out.

Some other really nice resorts are with the Karisma chain. These places can get a little pricey, but they are very nice.

Tripadvisor is your friend. Lots of valuable information on that site. Read the reviews people have written about the places they’ve stayed at. Yes, there are some Negative Nellie reviews, and you’ll find those anywhere. Most reviews are honest though.

Good luck with your decisions.

Hi…I’m a travel agent and founder of Vacationkids.com and due to our business I travel to Cancun about 4 times per year to review hotels. My suggestions would be the Krystal Hotel Cancun mainly because it has a protected beach (the surf along many of the hotel beaches is VERY rough). Also the Krystal is within walking distance to many of the area’s night spots like the Hard Rock and Coco Bongo. Another choice might be the Grand Oasis which tends to draw a young crowd.
Please be aware that many of the resorts in Cancun have implemented rules regarding young adults. Many require at least one person per room be over the age of 25 and hold them responsible for any rule violations or damage. This may also mean an extra amount held on a credit card to insure no property damage. Be sure to do your homework thoroughly or work with a travel agent to avoid any unhappy surprises or penalty fees with your vacation. Be smart, keep your wits about you and have fun!
