Mexico All Inclusive Wedding

Mandy asks…

Best romantic place to vacation in Mexico?

Looking for an allinclusive resort that has a nice beach, yet is close to some night life. Any suggestions?

Tijuana answers:

I highly suggest Iberostar Cancun
The Iberostar isn’t your garden-variety all-inclusive, everyone said. The consensus was that the Iberostar is a fabulous resort where everything, including booze, tips and transfers, happens to be covered in one price. And everyone said that unlike most all-inclusives, the Iberostar’s restaurants are awesome. Among the “ravers” were numerous newlyweds, who wrote in to say that their Mexico wedding and/or honeymoon at the Iberostar exceeded their and their guests’ expectations.
Now, I’ve been around some perfectionistic, control-freak, “my perfect wedding” brides. I may have been one myself. And if Iberostar hotels were good enough for these Internet Bridezillas, it was certainly good enough for my wood anniversary. You could say that the idea of an easy, delicious, all-inclusive 5th anniversary romantic getaway in Mexico had me at “hola.”

What is the best all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean to have a wedding & have affordable travel expenses?

I’m currently looking for an amazing boutique resort in the Caribbean that has an allinclusive option for my wedding. Preferably, I would like to have the ceremony on a cliffside overlooking the ocean, rather than in the sand. It’s very important for travel expenses (airfare & hotel) to be affordable for my guests to come. I would like to keep it around $1,000/person if possible – or I fear not that many people will come! Other preferable amenities are great food, spa services, great service in general, private beach access if not situated directly on the beach, water activities/tours (i.e. cruise for guests around the island), and it would also be great to be able to fly directly into the island – has to have its own airport. 🙂 Right now, I’m trying to stay away Jamaica, Dominican Republic & Puerto Rico – and Mexico. Also, I think the U.S. & British Virgin Islands will be too expensive. Any suggestions? Other islands: St. Lucia, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, St. Kitts, Barbados,et

Tijuana answers:

Right now, Punta cana, Dominican republic is the best place to go for that, nice, unexpensive, and I’m sure you will have the best time of your life there. Http://

John asks…

How much money should we take to Playa del Carmen on vacation?

Hi, we are traveling to Playa del Carmen, Mexico in August for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We have the hotel (all inclusive), airfare and airport transportation already covered. This is a splurge for us and I am a frugal person by nature. How much money should we expect to need while we are there? I know that our food and such are all covered at the hotel but I also know that we will probably go out for the nightlife and will need to tip and such. Any advice would be appreciated.

Tijuana answers:

I would bring your dollars for tips and maybe another couple of hundred dollars for some nightlife. Bring your ATM card and if you need money go get it. Just remember the ATM will give you pesos not dollars. Bring credit card for any excursions.

Congratulations on you 10th.
Enjoy and have a great time.
