Mexico Vacations

Susan asks…

Anyone know how the phones work in Mexico?

Ok, my husband has been in Mexico on vacation for about 3 months now and last week and this week when I try to call him the phone won’t ring most the time and sometimes it will sound like it rings to me but he will say it didn’t ring there, he said it is because of the rain? Anybody know anything about the phones not working there due to rain? Also, he is in a little city. Thanks guys.
His mother has been very ill in was in the hospital for 10 weeks.

Tijuana answers:

They work just like American phones – You pick one up, and get a dial tone. You dial the number, it connects you to someone else.

Your husband is lying. Sorry. And I think you know why.

Donald asks…

Is there an electrical difference in Mexico?

I live in Canada and I am going to Mexico for vacation in about a day. Is there any sort of electrical outlet I need or anything like that?

Tijuana answers:

Outlets ae the same in Mexico…but usually only accept 2-prong plugs. If you have items that have 3 prong plugs you will need a couple of the littel orange adaptors you can buy at Walmart or a similar store for a dollar or two.

Poor reception, perhaps?
Their phones are just like everyone else’s phones. Just because it’s a different country, doesn’t mean they have different phones.
